April - Spring is here!

24th March 2017
So Spring has arrived at last. Thank goodness!
However, here I am sitting in a stream of sunshine coming through my windows, trying to heat up and not having much success. I also heard today that snow is forecast for tomorrow! Really?
I do live in Scotland, so really anything on the weather front should not be surprising. I can but hope.
I love when the seasons change. The days begin to get longer, which in turn helps me get out of bed earlier, and helps me be inclined to be more productive.
So this is why I am writing this blog post - my first I must admit, so apologies if its dreadful - as I want to get the word out that as a photographer, the potential for taking images is great, as the weather is getting better,(hopefully?) the days are getting longer and the plants are in bud. So before long the Scottish outdoors, will most definitely be the great outdoors.
I have recently started offering outdoor portrait sessions. (Along side studio style portraits.) Which are available to families, couples, dogs and their owners and equine shoots; horse and owner looking fab, generally in non equestrian clothing. In fact anyone who fancies it! I have had some lovely results too.
So I am aiming for one post a month, giving amazing reasons as to what the month offers and why its a good idea to take the plunge and get a photo shoot of you and your loved ones. Furry or not.
So for me, March/April is the time for things beginning to look more positive. As well as prettier; Cherry blossom trees are in bud, lambs are appearing in the fields, butterflies are taking to the sky, daffodils are everywhere and of course easter eggs. My kids are more inclined to be out playing with their bikes and friends, which means they are off their gadgets. Which is great! And our dog is getting out even more, and not just with me!
Do you have any favourite outdoor locations that you feel would be great for an outdoor photo shoot? It could be a play park, a local loch walk, forestry area or your garden.
So if you have a favourite location, then share it with me either via the comments or email me, pictures are also allowed, on info@purefotobyjoanneboyle.com and have a chance of winning a monthly photo shoot at your location of choice. (local to stirling and its immediate area - 20 mile radius approx.)
Thanks for your time, Joanne x
